1. Acceptance of Terms

By using DevCompass, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and that you accept and agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older (or 16 years or older where permitted by local law). By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.

3. Use of the Platform

Use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Platform to engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or unlawful activities.
• Attempt to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its infrastructure, systems, or other users.
• Reproduce, duplicate, sell, resell, or exploit any part of the Platform for commercial purposes without the express written consent of DevCompass.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, course materials, and other assets available on the Platform are the intellectual property of DevCompass or its licensors. Germina Labs GmbH, as the parent company, operates the Platform but all brand assets, content rights, and IP are owned by and vest in DevCompass. Unauthorized use, copying, modification, or distribution of any such content is strictly prohibited.

5. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

Some features of the Platform require payment. By making a purchase, you agree to the following:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Prices are listed in the applicable currency and are inclusive of any taxes where stated.
• For one-time purchases, access is granted upon confirmed payment.
• For subscription-based offerings (if applicable), your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You may cancel a subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time unless otherwise required by law.

For information on cancellations and refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy. EU and UK consumers retain any statutory withdrawal rights granted under applicable consumer protection law.

6. Third-Party Content

The Platform may include links or references to third-party websites or services. DevCompass does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services. Your interactions with such services are solely between you and the third party.

7. No Financial Advice

All content and tools provided by DevCompass are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Platform constitutes or should be interpreted as financial, investment, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Germina Labs GmbH (operating DevCompass) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss or applicable EU/UK law.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time and at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or act in a way that harms DevCompass, Germina Labs GmbH, or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform will immediately cease. We are not liable for any consequences of such termination. Where required by applicable law, we will provide reasonable notice of termination.

10. Changes to Terms

DevCompass may update or modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice period constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Platform and request account deletion.

11. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally at thedevcompass@gmail.com.

EU residents may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any mandatory statutory rights available to you under local consumer protection law.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zürich, Switzerland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the law of your country of residence.
