Refund Policy

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

At DevCompass, a product of Germina Labs GmbH, we strive to deliver high-quality educational experiences through our courses, events, workshops, bootcamps, and other paid activities ("Paid Activities"). This Refund Policy outlines how refund requests are handled for such activities hosted on our Platform.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds for Paid Activities are governed by the specific terms provided at the time of registration or purchase. Each activity may have its own eligibility criteria, timelines, and refund conditions. Please carefully review the refund details on the activity page or shared during the sign-up process.

In general, refunds may be considered in the following cases:

  • The Paid Activity is cancelled or rescheduled by DevCompass.
  • A technical issue on our end prevents access and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe.
  • You are an EU or UK consumer exercising a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase, provided the digital content has not yet been accessed or downloaded.

2. Non-Refundable Situations

Unless stated otherwise for a particular activity, refunds will not be issued in the following scenarios:

  • You fail to attend or miss the activity.
  • You request cancellation after the activity has started or after digital content has been accessed.
  • You are dissatisfied with the content based on personal preferences, unless a verifiable quality or access issue is involved.
  • The request is made outside the applicable refund window specified at the time of purchase.

3. EU / UK Statutory Withdrawal Rights

If you are a consumer based in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, provided you have not yet accessed the digital content. By accessing the content, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is thereby waived. We will inform you of this at the point of purchase.

4. Refund Process

To request a refund, please email us at thedevcompass@gmail.com with the following details:

  • Your full name and registered email address
  • Payment receipt or Stripe transaction ID
  • Name and date of the Paid Activity
  • Reason for the refund request

If the refund is approved as per the applicable terms, it will be processed within 6–10 business days to your original method of payment via Stripe. We are not responsible for any delays caused by your bank or payment provider.

5. Currency and Charges

All refunds will be issued in the original payment currency. DevCompass is not liable for any currency conversion fees, bank charges, or payment gateway deductions that may apply.

6. Amendments to this Policy

DevCompass reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Refund Policy shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zürich, Switzerland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the law of your country of residence.
